Life with no smell of revolt is life with no pulse,
And
Revolt with no touch of truth is a tree with no roots!
Surang—wet in a color of truth is a revolt - an uprising - a war - not for crowns and kingdoms - but fought against poverty and hunger - for a few grains of cereals, a few morsels of bread which is the luxury of the poor!
Who are the soldiers in this fight?
The soldiers are the poor, hungry, naked human beings. Their wealth is their courage; they are true to their word and deed. They can stand steadfast against the might of the great mountains and the drop of their sweat and blood can tear these mountains to pieces. The rock that talk with the heaven bows down in humility before their determination.
Yet they are hungry. Why?
Veer led the revolt against hunger. Ashok, the lover of truth and humanity took up the command of this hungry army. Raising the banner of truth he took Cudgels against his own father.
The fight was on. Father fought against his son. The fight became more tense. Pagli was sacrificed at the alter of this ideal.
Who was Pagli? What was the outcome of this war? DEFEAT? VICTORY? or PEACE?
Only "SURANG" can reveal to you the result of a mighty struggle.
